Life Skills Students Serve Up Skill + Spirit

A group of talented students from Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic High School, who help run the school’s pop-up café ‘Common Ground’, prepared and served a picnic inspired lunch of pulled pork sandwiches, a medley of summer salads, fresh berries and homemade brownies to school administrators today.

The students, Tanner, Mohammed, Chris, and Hussain, and their teachers Marcia O’Brien, and Dan Whitney and their Educational Assistant, Paula Finucan, brought prepared foods to the Board office in Napanee where they set up food serving stations to provide lunch to principals and members of the senior team during their monthly Leadership Team Meeting.

Beyond the work they do with the pop-up café, like crafting cappuccinos, preparing egg sandwiches, baking treats, and taking and delivering orders - these Life Skills students are building valuable skills in teamwork, responsibility, and professional communication.
